From
our base in Essex close to the M25, D Smith Express
currently
operates a versatile fleet of lorries, predominantly 15
curtain-sided lorries on contract hire to an international
freight company and 6 rigid lorries fitted with Hiab cranes.
These vehicles are fitted with Cranes ranging from 19 – 38
Ton/Metre with a range of up to 12.5 metres. All
are available on a spot hire or contract basis for the
specialist
transportation of containers, cabins, generators, plant
and machinery throughout the United Kingdom and mainland
Europe.
Health & safety is of paramount
importance to us, each of our drivers hold current certification
of
entitlement for the appropriate appliance
within
their field.
Our drivers are fully conversant
and capable of operating within all safety parameters. |

To
comply with statutory regulations all lorries are regularly
inspected
and tested.
This of course includes all equipment (both crane
and lifting) which is constantly monitored and maintained
above the compulsory level, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime
and minimal customer inconvenience.
